The Division of Research will host a training event, "I've Received the Award, Now What?": Navigating the Award Set-Up Process, Tuesday, July 1, from 11 a.m. to noon in Fort IRC Room 410.
This training session is designed to provide faculty and research administrators with a clear, step-by-step understanding of the award set-up process following receipt of an award. Participants will gain insights into effectively initiating their awards, ensuring compliance with sponsor requirements, and understanding critical reporting obligations. This session is ideal for new award recipients, principal investigators, and research support staff.

Learning Objectives:
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the Award Set-Up Process: Navigate the steps involved in setting up an award in the university’s research administration system.
  • Initiate Project Activities: Recognize the essential actions to take immediately after receiving an award, including budget confirmation, compliance approvals, and subaward management.
  • Comply with Reporting Requirements: Identify sponsor-specific reporting requirements, including financial, technical, and progress reports, and ensure timely submission.
  • Navigate Award Modifications: Understand the process for requesting budget revisions, no-cost extensions, and other award modifications.
